Kerr, James, 1790-1850
Biographical notes:
James Kerr was appointed surveyor general of the Texas colony of Green DeWitt in January 1825. In 1835 he was an assistant to John J. Linn, who had been named Quartermaster of the Texas Army on October 8, 1835.
