Biographical notes:
Born at Watertown, N.Y. Admitted to the bar 1883, moved to Fargo, N.D. 1888, married Luella Davis 1889. Awarded Medal of Honor for services as judge advocate during Spanish American War, active in N.D. National Guard (1905-1908), Fargo city attorney (1892-1894, 1902-1904), U.S. district attorney (1914-1923), practiced law in Fargo until 1943. Died January 13, 1944.
