Maxwell Hunley Rare Books was an antiquarian bookselling firm located on Santa Monica Boulevard in Beverly Hills, Calif. Hunley (1900-1990) specialized in Americana and modern first editions. He maintained jovial relationships with his customers and friends, as evidenced in both his business and personal correspondence. In 2002 the Zamorano Club published an interview with Hunley, in limited edition entitled, A true and authentic account of the life of the distinguished bibliophile and bookseller Maxwell Hunley, Esq.: as heard from his own lips.
