A graduate of Bryn Mawr (B.A. 1922) and Radcliffe College (A.M. 1932), Olive Floyd also studied at the University of Paris (1932-1933) and Columbia University (1935-1936). She was the author of Doctora in Mexico (1944), Joy Is in the Banner (1950), Early American Decorated Tinware (1957), and other books.
