Established in Nashville, Tennessee, in 1891, LifeWay Christian Resources (formerly Sunday School Board) of the Southern Baptist Convention is one of the world's largest providers of Christian products and services, including Bibles, church literature, books, music, audio and video recordings, church supplies and Internet services through LifeWay.com. Sullivan was a Southern Baptist pastor and denominational executive. He served as the Executive Secretary of the Sunday School Board of the Southern Baptist Convention from 1954 to his retirement in 1975. The Sunday School Board served as the major publisher of Bible teaching material and books during Sullivan's tenure.
