Biographical notes:

Abial Fisher was born in Norton, Massachusetts on September 22, 1755. He married Lydia Allyn (1758-1833) on October 4, 1781 in Rehobeth, Massachusetts. Around 1785 he moved to Putney, Vermont and by 1806 he had moved to Danville, Vermont. Abial was active in the Baptist church and helped organize the Putney Baptist Church in 1787. He and Lydia Allyn had 8 children. Abial Fisher died in Danville, Vermont on December 20, 1839.
