Biographical notes:
Martin K. Gordon created the District of Columbia Home Rule Research Collection as part of his research on the topic for talks and publications. He was a civilian military historian with History and Museums Division, Headquarter, U.S. Marine Corps and a historian with the Office of History, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. He holds a Ph.D. from George Washington University. He has served as treasurer of the Society for History in the Federal Government and as a director of the Council on America's Military Past. He has authored books and articles. He also worked as executive editor of White Mane Publishing Company.
