Forrester's major assignment included 2nd Infantry Division (1952-53), SHAPE (1961-63), G-3, 82nd Airborne Division (1964-66); 3rd Brigade/4th Infantry Division (1967-68); XO, Office Vice Chief of Staff, DA (1968-70); 1st Cavalry Division (1970-71), Office Chief of Staff Personnel (1971-73), and Recruiting Command (1975-78).
