French Huguenot family settled in Charleston, S.C., ca. 1730; John Gabriel Guignard (1751-1822) was Treasurer of S.C.; John Gabriel Guignard (1801-1857) was doctor and planter of Williston, S.C.; James Sanders Guignard was planter and business man of Lexington County, S.C.; John Gabriel Guignard was a planter, surveyor, and business man of Lexington County, S.C.
