Biographical notes:
Sheffield was born in Chicago, Illinois in 1978 but soon moved to Sutherlin, Oregon, where she was raised. Sheffield was forced to become very responsible early in life, with her father dying of cancer when she was 15 years old. Sheffield attended Brigham Young University, where she studied English and Spanish Teaching.
