Biographical notes:

Dorothy Eck was born in Washington State in 1924. She and her husband moved to Bozeman, Montana, in 1946. In the 1950s she began to be involved in the League of Women Voters, and other lobbying groups. In 1971 she was elected as a delegate to the Montana Constitutional convention (Con Con). After the Convention was over she lobbied actively for the ratification of the new constitution, and then worked as a liaison between Governor Tom Judge and local governments. She was elected to the State Senate in 1980 and served until retiring in 2000. She continues to work as lobbyist for the League of Women Voters.
