Member station of National Public Radio and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. Began broadcasting on February 26, 1974, and serves an area with a population of more than 2.5 million, including portions of Tennessee, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, and Kentucky.
