Johnny Marvin was a songwriter who started out as a country crooner playing a ukulele singing Tin Pan Alley songs on the radio in the late 1920s. He wrote lyrics and music mainly for radio, but also for some motion pictures such as "Return of the Rough Riders" (1942). He is most famous as a songwriter for Gene Autry in the late 1930s with songs such as "Old November Moon" (1939) and "Blue Montana Sky" (1939).
