Faribault State School and Hospital. Community Services Department.
Biographical notes:
The Community Services Department served clients and staff and provided outreach services as liaison with the general public. It strove to enhance the lives of the clients through recruitment of volunteers to serve directly with clients, to provide a wide variety of goods and services not provided through the state, and worked on fundraising and allocation of funds for client services through the Volunteer Council/Auxiliary. It also served as an informational link between campus and community, providing newsletters, brochures, flyers, speakers, tours, and other information as indicated. In its early years, it was known as the Volunteer Services Department.
