Daughter of Richard Stockton (1764-1828; see Dict. Am. Biog.) and Mar y Field Stockton of "Morven," Princeton, N.J.; granddaughter of Richard Stockton (1730-1781; see Dict. Am. Biog.) and Annis Boudinot Stockton (1736-1801) of Morven; sister of Mary Field (Stockton) Harrison (b.1790), wife of William Harrison of New York. Married (1821) William Rodman Rotch (1788-1860) of New Bedford, Mass.
