Consolidated Talking Machine Company founded ca. 1900; in 1901 incorporated as Victor Talking Machine Company; in 1929 joined with Radio Corporation of America to become Radio-Victor Corporation of America (a subsidiary of Radio Corporation of America); in 1930 name changed to RCA-Victor Company; in 1934 RCA-Victor Company merged with RCA Radiotron Company to form RCA Manufacturing Company, inc.; in 1942 became the RCA Victor Division of the parent company, Radio Corporation of America; later renamed the RCA Victor Record Division; producers of phonographs, radios, and sound recordings; headquartered in Camden, N.J.
