Biographical notes:

The Glens Falls Post Company was established in 1904, and it engaged in both newspaper publishing and job printing. The principal newspaper published by the company was the Morning Post, which became the Post-Star in 1909. The Post-Star purchased the Glens Falls Times newspaper in 1927. Principal officers and directors of the company over the years included George F. Bayle, Louis M. Brown, J. Irving Fowler, Louis Fiske Hyde, Arthur P. Irving, Dennis B. Moynehan, Patrick Moynehan, W. H. Rice, Arthur W. Sherman, and J. Edward Singleton.
