Biographical notes:
Marcia Berd Sontag of Newton, Iowa, attended Iowa State College (University) for the fall quarter, 1953. While majoring in home economics, Berd lived in Birch Hall and went through the formal sorority rush process. After leaving Iowa State, Berd attended Drake University in Des Moines and married Jon Sontag.
