Feiss served as a planner for the Washington State Interagency Committee for Outdoor Recreation, 1969-1971; and the Washington State Office of Comprehensive Health Planning, 1971-1975; as Project Manager for the Elderly/Handicapped Transportation Study, a Joint Project of the City of Seattle, King County, and Metro Transit, 1975-1977; as Executive Director of the Snohomish County Transportation Authority, 1987-1994; as Principal Planner for the Puget Sound Regional Council, 1995-1997; and as a planning consultant, 1977-1987 and 1997-2002.
