Biographical notes:

Claude B. Duval was an attorney in Houma, La. who also served as a state senator in the Louisiana Legislature from 1968-1980. Prior to his political career, Duval served in the Marine Corps during World War II as a Private First Class. In post-war service, he eventually rose to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and also served as State Commander of the American Legion in Louisiana. During his life, Duval was honored for both his work as a legislator and civic developer in south Louisiana. Duval's business affiliations included serving as Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer for several banks and corporations in south Louisiana. Duval died 3 March 1986 in Houma, La.
