Artist, art historian, journalist, lecturer, photographer, and author; Los Angeles, Calif. She also served as librarian and curator of the Elmer Belt Library of Vinciana, University of California, Los Angeles. Steinitz was born in Beuten, Silesia, Germany (now Poland) and she died in Los Angeles in 1975.
