JoAnn Miles, a teacher in the Port Washington (N.Y.) Public Schools and former ballet dancer, directed the Port Washington Folkloric Dance Troupe between 1991 and 1997. The troupe, composed of Hispanic students from Paul D. Schreiber High School in Port Washington, NY, performed in the schools and for local events. It was co-sponsored by the high school and the Port Washington Community Action Council.
