David Hagberg is a Sarasota-based author of more than 70 novels, many of which have been published under various pseudonyms. A native Minnesotan, Hagberg joined the Air Force and was trained as a cryptographer. He studied physics, mathematics and philosophy at the University of Maryland, and began writing as a cub reporter on the Duluth Herald and The News-Tribune and later as a news desk editor for the Associated Press. His books may be categorized as international thrillers or suspense. Hagberg has been nominated for The American Book Award, the Mystery Writers of America Edgar Allan Poe Award and Mystery Scene Best American Mystery awards.
