WA author and historian. Born in England in 1906, she migrated to Perth WA in 1928. She married Robert Malcolm Scott and had three children - Lilian, David and Elizabeth. During World War II, she worked as a radio scriptwriter and in other employment. After her marriage broke up she was employed in various other occupations, including work in the Carnarvon Library, when she researched, wrote and published a book "A town grows", a history of Carnarvon from 1839-1967. During her time in Carnarvon, she married George Memory, but the marriage did not last. Later, she carried out research for biographies of Sir George Grey and Sir Wallace Kyle, but this research was not published. During the 1970's, she returned to England to live, but for financial reasons came back to Australia. She wrote short stories, articles, prose, children's stories, poems, and lyrics throughout her life, writing under the names of R.B.E. Scott, R.B.E. Scott-Memory, Rhoda Scott, and Lynn Phillips. She was a member of the Royal Historical Society of Western Australia as well as various writing groups.
