Biographical notes:

Stephen Carpenter Earle (1839-1913), a native of Leicester, Mass., graduated from M.I.T. and became a prominent architect in Worcester, Mass. Earle designed the Worcester Art Museum, Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Clark University, and several city churches. He published various professional works and was a member of the G.A.R.

James E. Fuller (1836-1901) was a partner with Earle from 1876 to 1891. He remained in Worcester as an architect with several firms and designed the city's YMCA, old Armory Building, and various churches.
