Lusk, Robert Davies, 1902-1962.
Biographical notes:
Newspaper journalist.
Lusk was the editor and publisher of the Huron, South Dakota Evening Huronite. In 1935 an exchange of letters between Lusk and Senator Peter Norbeck led them to contact Frank Lloyd Wright about designing a new hotel at Sylvan Lake in the Black Hills. After visiting South Dakota Wright expressed strong interest in the project but refused to submit a preliminary design to the Custer State Park Board, feeling it would be "unprofessional" for him to enter competition for the bid. Wright was denied the project despite the strong support of Lusk and Norbeck.
