Biographical notes:

Springfield, Illinois, physician specializing in eye, ear, nose, and throat treatment. National reputation for research work relating to eye ailments: perfected several instruments for eye treatment, developed new methods for combatting eye troubles, devoted particular attention to removal of cataracts. Son of Dr. David and Lucy Manning Chandler Prince. Associated with David Prince Sanitarium in Jacksonville, Illinois, from 1877 to 1890. Relocated sanitarium to corner of Seventh Street and Capitol Avenue in Springfield, Illinois, in 1891. Operated sanitarium with his brother, Dr. John A. Prince (died 1912) and Dr. N. S. Penick (died 1928) until his retirement in 1930.
