Resident of Guilford, Conn.; moved from Glastonbury, Conn., with her family in 1844 when her father became proprietor of the Guilford Point House; founder and president of United Workers for Public Improvement, Dorothy Whitfield Historic Society, and Guilford branch of Equal Suffrage League, and delegate to Women's National Indian Association in Washington, D.C.; known as Miss Kate E. Hunt.
