Biographical notes:
Walter Hughes Henry, while attending the University of California, Berkeley, developed a new form for running the 120-yard high hurdles, and on May 30, 1892 broke the world's record for the event. He enlisted in 1918 and served as a Captain in an administrative position for the Red Cross in France.
