Ganung, Charles Raymond, 1897-1965
Biographical notes:
Charles Raymond Ganung was born in Litchfield, Conn., graduated from Litchfield High School, and served during World War 1. In 1916 he became associated with the Waterbury Savings Bank and was promoted several times, retiring as vice president and secretary in 1959. He was a graduate of the American Institute of Banking and the School of Banking of Rutgers University. Ganung was active in civic groups including the YMCA. He married Gladys Smith and they had three children. He died in Clearwater, Fla., in 1965.
