Crawford, Anne Fears, 1932-2004
Biographical notes:
Anne Fears Crawford was born in Beaumont on August 26, 1932. She earned her bachelor's from the University of Texas. In addition, she obtained two master's, one in education and one in library and information science from the University of Texas. She recieved a doctorate in American studies from Los Angeles State College in 1976.
Ms. Crawford was known for her extensive writings on Texas Politics, especially on women and childrens books. Her writing accomplishments include: Texas Women: From Frontier to Future, Women in Texas with Ragsdale Crystal Sasse, Frankie: Mrs. R.D. Randolph and Texas Liberal Politics with Frances Farenthold. She was also an influential teacher at both the high school and college level.
Anne Fears Crawford died at the age of 71 in 2004.
