Biographical notes:

Dairyman's Coast Bank was referred to variously as: Dairyman's Bank, Dairyman's Commercial and Savings, Dairyman's Bank, and Dairymen's Bank.

"Farmers and merchants of the Valley Ford district organized the Dairyman's Bank in that town in 1893. The first officers were Hollis Hitchcock, president, and H. M. LeBaron, cashier. Original directors were Hitchcock, Lebaron, A.P. Gaver, Patrick Carroll, Sol Lobenstein, William D. Jones, Dorr Hakes and J.D. Williams. In 1912 H. M. LeBaron became president and his son, C. A. LeBaron, cashier. Upon the death of the elder LeBaron in May 1913, his son succeeded to the presidency, continuing as cashier as well. In February 1923, the Dairyman's Bank of Valley Ford and the Bank of Tomales were merged, the combination receiving the name of the Dairyman's Coast Bank. B. B. Hinshaw, formerly president of the Bank of Tomales, became president of the new institution, with C. A. Lebaron acting as manager and cashier of the Valley Ford head office. In December 1928, the Dairyman's Coast Bank was absorbed the Giannini chain, being now a branch of the Bank of America National Trust & Savings Association. At the time it ceased to be an independent institution its total resources were in excess of $2,250,000."--History of Sonoma County, California, 1937, p. 390-391.
