Biographical Note
The Robert Stacy-Judd was born in London and received his education at the Polytechnic Institute, London, and at the Southend Technical Institute. He was apprenticed to the English architect James Thompson. He worked in Canada and the Dakotas before establishing a practice in Los Angeles in 1920. He wrote extensively on Mayan architecture and its possible use in contemporary American architecture.
