Biographical notes:

Chester Millard Ferguson Peters (1912- ) was a mining geologist and consultant working for Behre Dolbear Brown Engineers and local and foreign governments. He began his career in the Philippines, 1934-1940, where he worked in mining, petroleum, and coal operations. In the 1940s he worked for the U.S. military. After World War II he worked in El Salvador, Honduras, and Guatamala, primarily in mining. In the 1950s he returned to the San Francisco area as a consultant, with a year spent in Burma, 1952-1953. He was involved in the Yuba River Development in California among other projects in the Western United States involving water management and dams. He was also involved in uranium mining in the Rocky Mountain region of the United States: Utah, Nevada, and Montana.
