Biographical notes:
Daniel S. Blumenthal, M.D. helped to establish the Lee County (Arkansas) Cooperative Clinic while serving with Volunteers in Service to America in 1969. He chaired the New Orleans chapter of the Medical Committee for Human Rights between 1970 and 1972. He currently is chairman of the Department of Community Health and Preventive Medicine at the Morehouse School of Medicine.
