Jean Francois Coste,1741-1819, served as director of the medical staff and chief physician for the French expeditionary forces aiding America in the war of independence. Harold Justin Abrahams, 1901- , was a research associate at the Library of the College of Physicians of Philadelphia specializing in the history of chemistry and the history of medicine.
