Biographical notes:

Evelyn Hunt, a Cleveland native, received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Secondary Education from Ursuline College in 1962 and a Master of Arts from Wayne State University in 1975. She then returned to Cleveland where she pursued a Master of Education degree at Cleveland State University, receiving a degree in Higher Education Administration and Counseling in 1978. Hunt has received a wide range of professional training focusing on leadership, diversity, and discrimination in the workplace. She has presented papers on diversity, women's issues, and affirmative action. Hunt held several administrative positions at Cleveland State University, including Administrative Assistant in University Relations and Administrative Assistant in Affirmative Action and then later as Assistant to the Director of Affirmative Action. She assisted in reviewing the Affirmative Action Plan and implementation of the policy. She also served as Compliance Specialist for Affirmative Action at Cleveland State University, developing, implementing, and monitoring departmental search, outreach, and hiring procedures in addition to resolving discrimination complaints and conducting training, advocacy, and diversity programs from 1993 to August 1997 when she retired.
