Biographical notes:
The Pettingell-Andrews Company was a leading manufacturer of lighting fixtures in Boston, Ma. Its products represented a range of decorative periods, but merchandise was placed into four categories: Colonial, English, French, and commercial. Some products were carried in stock, while others were made to order. The company had special departments devoted to each of the processes required in manufacturing lighting, including: modeling, chasing, spinning, plating, etching, and galvanizing.
