Girl Scout leader in the Moingona Council of Central Iowa Girl Scouts and delegate to the 1965 International Conference of Girl Scouts/Guides held in Acapulco, Mexico; advocate of equal rights for women; member of the American Association of University Women, both at the state and national level; unsuccessful candidate for the Iowa State Senate in 1976.
