The Business & Professional Women's Club of San Antonio, Inc. was founded May 23, 1923 with 50 charter members. The club's main interests have been providing women with business opportunities, promoting opportunities for women in the professions and encouraging young women to enter the professions. Among their special interests have been legislation regarding professional women, the right of women to serve on juries, international relations and civic duty.

The Business & Professional Women's Club of San Antonio, a club organized to offer professional women an opportunity to gather to promote their interests as well as to provide "mutual helpfulness." The club was founded May 23, 1923 with 50 charter members. The club's main interests have been providing women with business opportunities, promoting opportunities for women in the professions and encouraging young women to enter the professions. Among their special interests have been legislation regarding professional women, the right of women to serve on juries, international relations and civic duty.
The Business & Professional Women's Club of San Antonio has served the city by sponsoring clubs for young women in high school, offering scholarships for young women and by fundraising for various charities. Activities of the club are well-documented in the pages of the local newspapers, San Antonio Express-News and the former San Antonio Light .
Club members in San Antonio have also been quite involved with the district, state and national organizations, attending conventions sponsored these groups. San Antonio club members also sponsored district and state conventions, notably in 1953 and 1974, as well as workshops and seminars. As of December, 1996, the Business & Professional Women's Club of San Antonio continues to meet and participate in community endeavors in the city.
