John Christian Keener, Methodist bishop, was born 7 February 1819, in Baltimore, Maryland, and died 19 January 1906, in New Orleans, Louisiana. He was licensed to preach (1842) and was assigned to the New Orleans, Louisiana, Conference of the Methodist Church, South (1848-1906).
