Charles Emery Rosendahl was born May 15, 1892, in Chicago, Illinois. He received his commission from Annapolis in 1914, and was designated as a naval aviator in November 1924. He served as Chief of Naval Airship Training at Naval Air Station Lakehurst from May 1943 to July 1946. Rosendahl died on May 17, 1977.
