Emily Reed Fox (Mrs. Edward Cheston) was interviewed in the afternoon of March 28, 1969 in the living room of her home in Ambler, Pennsylvania. Fox was the niece of Hannah Fox, a housing reformer for both the Octavia Hill Association and the Philadelphia Housing Association.
