Biographical notes:
Residents of Litchfield, Conn. Descendents of James Gould (1770-1838) who assisted Tapping Reeve with the Litchfield Law School and later ran the Law School in Litchfield, Conn. John Warren Dubois Gould (1881-1924) was son of Edward Sherman Gould (1837-1905) and Arabella (Ludlow) Gould. He graduated from New York University as a civil engineer and spent some of his career working on irrigation projects in the West. He married Louisa Fisk in 1910 and later became a specialist in reorganizing bankrupt companies. He was great-grandson of James Gould of Litchfield, Conn.
