Stephen White opened his photography gallery in Los Angeles, California, in 1975. The gallery had an early role in the business of buying, selling and promoting fine art photography. Known initially as the Photo Album Gallery, the business operated later as the Stephen White Gallery of Photography and the Stephen White Gallery until it closed in 1991.
