Biographical notes:
Alberta Davis Woodward attended Shortridge High School in Indianapolis and graduated in 1925. While there she was known as Jean Davis. She was interested in journalism and later wrote a murder mystery (unpublished?) under the pseudonym of Davis Woodward.
