Biographical notes:

(For history of the Lutheran Council in the USA (LCUSA), see OCLC #38922091.) The LCUSA's educational services and campus ministry program was conducted by its Division of Educational Services (1967-1973), the Division of Campus Ministry and Educational Services (1973-1983), and the Division of Campus Ministry (1983-1987). The LCUSA worked closely with the National Lutheran Campus Ministry (NLCM), a program of the The American Lutheran Church and Lutheran Church in America. The Lutheran Seminarian Project was initiated by the Division of Campus Ministry and Educational Services in 1974 as a 3 year project to define the needs and assets of Lutheran seminarians and keep seminaries in touch with attitutes of the churches. The LCUSA was succeeded by the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) in 1987.
