The company was incorporated in Michigan on May 18, 1871. December 10, 1896 conveyed by trustees to Detroit, Grand Rapids and Western Railroad Company.
May 18, 1871 authorized to build a railroad from East Saginaw, MI, via intersection of Farley and Washington Streets to the village of St. Louis, MI. July 24, 1878 authorized extension of railroad from St. Louis, MI to Mount Pleasant, MI. December 8, 1896 sold under foreclosure and conveyed to Charles Merriam and Alpheaus H. Hardy, Trustees.
