Biographical notes:
Georgetown County, South Carolina family. John White and Sarah Elizabeth Green White were the parents of eight children among them William Capers White (a plantation owner and Confederate States of America Army officer), Dr. Richard Green White (a physician), James Benjamin White (educator and C.S.A. Army officer), and Anna White (an educator, who married Joseph Robert Nesbitt Tenhet in 1867).
