Historical Note
Organized in 1908 as a cooperative organization of lemon, grapefruit, and orange grove owners, the Association was affiliated with Sunkist Growers. During the 1920s, the Association was responsible for packing the majority of fruit raised in the La Mesa-Lemon Grove area.
